On a beautifully bright and dry evening, unusual for the start of the season, although cold by the finish the Men's Wiltshire League team got the season off to a strong start.

Although two players short the 14 men present put in a great performance against Supermarine winning on three rinks to take 12 of the 14 points to lie top of the league after Week 1!. A long way to go and as they say in football, 'we will take one match at a time' but a strong start.

The following night the Swindon & District mixed team also made a winning start taking 11 of the 14 points available from their away fixture against Wootton Bassett A.
